IG is loyalist. Horus had niet zoveel respect voor Imperial Army en gebruikte hen vooral als cannon fodder.

Als je met een Legion speelt, heb je dan zo'n FW boek nodig, of is dat gewoon codex SM met die special rules onderaan je pdf?

Megabattle is 1k elk :) mission zelf komt vandaag nog online.

Als (chaos)marine heb je de keuze:

Ofwel gebruik je Crusade army list (in de HH boeken van FW, staan allen op m'n Google Drive. Voor een link, zie eerste post)

Ofwel gebruik je Codex: Space Marines met de aanpassingen zoals aangegeven in het rulespack.

Probleem met C:CSM is dat het op veel gebied zo ver afwijkt van de legions dat het moeilijk wordt om die om te zetten.

Quick & dirty:
Geen modellen met Daemon rule.
Geen mark: Sons of Horus trait
MoK: World Eater trait
MoN: Death Guard trait
MoS: Emperor's Children trait
MoT: als 'andere Legion' maw. kies uit: Crusader, Fleet, Furious Charge or Stubborn

Black legion zou idd Sons of Horus worden, en kan dan nog steeds kiezen of je loyalist of traiter Sons of Horus wordt :)

Campaign Kick-off - Cometh the Red Angel

The Armies
This mission is fought between two teams of players representing both sides in this conflict.
The Loyalist players each control an army of 1000pts and may not use any Drop Pods or Flyers of any kind.
The Loyalist side will be granted 1 Fortification of the Bastion type per player. (These do not need to be bought from their army points value.

The Traitors each control an army of 1250pts and may not contain any Fortifications.
Each player nominates one eligible model as his Warlord as normal.

The Battlefield
This mission takes place among the ruins of Isstavn III’s largest city, wracked by the virus bombing and following firestorm. It is played on an L-shaped table with the table sides making up the inner corner being used as the Loyalist table edge.

The terrain will be set up to represent the hasty barricades and defences placed by the surviving loyalist forces. After terrain set-up, the Loyalist players may set up all their Fortifications.

Deployment
Once all terrain and Forfitications have been set up, both sides roll for their Warlords traits and determine psychic powers.

The Loyalist players then deploy all of their forces anywhere within 36” of their table edges. The Loyalist players may not hold any units in reserve, even it a units individual special rules would allow them to do so.

The Traitors do not deploy before the start of the game. Instead the entire Traitor army either deploys from via Deep Strike if able, or moves onto the table from the Traitor table edge in the Traitor’s first turn. Any units that cannot move onto the table due to lack of space, are placed in Ongoing Reserves.


First Turn
The Traitors automatically have the first turn. The Loyalist players may not Seize the Initiative.

Game Length
This mission uses the rules for variable game length (see pg. 133 of the Warhammer 40k rulebook).

Victory Conditions
At the end of the game the side that has won the most Victory Points has won the game. If both sides have the same number of Victory Points, the game is a draw.

Primary Objectives
At the end of the game each side receives 1 Victory Point for each enemy unit that has been completely destroyed. Units that are falling back at the end of the game, or off-table, count as having been destroyed. Independant Characters and Dedicated Transports are worth 1 Victory Point each if destroyed.

Secondary Objectives
Slay the Warlord: Slaying a Traitor Warlord earns the Loyalist 1 Victory Point for each Warlord slain. Slaying a Loyalist Warlord is worth 2 Victory Points for the Traitor side for each Warlord slain.

Unbowed and Unbroken: If the Loyalists have a greater number of units than the Traitors at the end of the battle, they gain an additional Victory Point.

Mission Special Rules
Deadly Atmosphere: For the duration of the game, all armour saves of ‘6’ must be re-rolled (invulnerable and cover saves are unaffected). Other saves are unaffected. In addition, Armour Penetration rolls of ‘1’ must be re-rolled. This represents the still volatile atmosphere after Horus unleashed the life-eater virus on Isstvan III.

Lines of Retreat: Traitor and Loyalist units that break and flee will retreat towards their closest table edge.

Dug-in: The Loyalists may take up to three Fortification choices as an allied continent, as opposed to the usual one in battle missions during this phase.

Orbital Assault: In battle missions during this phase, the Traitor side may opt to deploy any Infantry, Jump Infantry or Walker unit held in reserve using the Deep Strike rules. If a unit may already deploy via Deep Strike (unless by Drop Pod), then they may assault on the turn they deploy via Deep Strike contrary to the usual rules.

is ook de reden waarom ik best pas want versta er nie te veel van Confused BigGrin

Simpel gezegd: alles is Space Marines, maar met een alternatieve Codex (units te vinden in het eerste Horus Heresy Book, vanaf pagina 187).

De Space Marines zijn ook ingedeeld in Legions ipv Chapters (Raven Guard, Iron Fists, Sons of horus etc), en die krijgen dan wat extra rules en wat extra units beschikbaar. Deze zijn ook te vinden in de Horus Heresy boeken (zie dropbox Matthijs).

De fluff van 30K is gewoon super, je moet die Horus boeken echt lezen, alleen maar voor de verhalen ;)

Even korte situering: 10.000 jaar voor 40k is het Imperium in volle groei. De Space Marine legions (18 in totaal), met hun Primarch (genetische vader, nen echte über-marine) veroveren alles wat oren en poten heeft.

En dan gaat er iets mis..

Zonder al te veel shit te spoilen (subiets heb'k rommel met Black Library enzo) gebeurt er t'een en t'ander en keert Horus, de Warmaster en de facto leider van de volledige militaire macht van het Imperium zich tegen de Emperor. Hierbij slaagt hij erin om de helft van de andere Primarch, en hun Legion aan zijn kant te trekken in de grootste burgeroorlog die ooit in fantasy/sci-fi werd beschreven.

Daar begint onze campaign. Voor hij zijn verraad openbaar maakt, houdt Horus, Primarch van de Sons of Horus, samen met Angron van de World Eaters, Fulgrim van de Emperor's Children en Mortarion van de Death Guard grote kuis in eigen rangen. Ze sturen alle marines die loyaal zijn naar de Emperor uit hun eigen legion naar het oppervlak van Isstvan III en bombarderen de planeet met een gruwelijk 'Life-eater' Virus. Dit goor spul is zo dodelijk dat het zelfs de atmosfeer van de planeet opvreet en in brand zet.

Horus had echter pech, en had een paar loyalists over het hoofd gezien die nog net een waarschuwing naar het oppervlak van de planeet konden sturen, waardoor er toch nog veel marines ginder overleefden.

Vanaf daar spelen we mee :)

Crying Dacht dat de eerste turn op 12/09 was? Ik heb de late de 5de. Zal er dus niet kunnen bij zijn. Dat betekend 2 vrijdagen van de campaign missen zal dus waarschijnlijk niets worden voor mij...
